Bad weather and high winds the night before did not stop RPEL’s third grade classes from their field trip to P.J. Hoffmaster State Park. The students learned many things about Earth science through hiking and touring the Gillette Visitor Center. Such things included our natural resources and the ways we can protect them, human effects on the environment, surface changes along the lakeshore, and the many uses of dune sand. It was wonderful seeing all of the students learn about how wonderful and lucky our state is!
